Papa John's is the United States' fourth-largest pizza restaurant franchise. In 1984, "Papa" John Schnatter launched the first Papa John's eatery. He sold his Camaro Z28 to raise money for the venture, which he ran out of a nearby bar. The Papa John's restaurant changed locations due to its popularity. Papa John's became a publicly traded business in 1993. It grew to include more than 1,500 locations around the country. Popular menu options include pizza, garlic sauce, chicken wings, and dessert. Currently, there are more than 4,400 Papa John's franchises both in the US and abroad. Global franchise sites include Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
