How does Walmart grocery delivery work?
Before we get started, it's essential to know the following points:
- Orders require a minimum purchase of $35.
- To place an order, go to Walmart.com or the Walmart mobile app.
- You have the option of selecting a 1-hour pickup time.
- Orders can be placed with Walmart up to a week in advance.
- By 1:45 a.m. on the day of delivery, add goods to your existing purchase.
Step 1: Download the Walmart mobile app and start shopping.
The free Walmart mobile app for iOS and Android is the simplest way to get groceries for delivery. Walmart.com also offers an online ordering option.
Step 2: Select a delivery window for your groceries.
Make sure to choose your time slot and the closest Walmart store for delivery BEFORE adding products to your virtual cart because time slots can be difficult to obtain. Your delivery time slot will be held by doing this for an hour.
Any delivery instructions, such as "Leave on the front porch," should be included.
Tap on Pickup & delivery to pick a day and time.
Step 3: Order your groceries from Walmart.
Add products to your shopping cart, then finish the transaction. Remember that to qualify for delivery, your order must total at least $35.
Step 4: Up to three hours before your delivery, add products to your shopping cart.
Okay, as we mentioned earlier, the best feature of Walmart food delivery is that their in-store prices are not increased for online orders. We lied when we said that was the best part. This is also really good:
Up to three hours before delivery, Walmart Grocery enables you to make changes to your order after you've already placed it, including adding and deleting products.
If you ordered something with a future delivery date and time, you can change the timing up until the day before the original delivery date. However, a same-day delivery cannot be rescheduled. To find out the exact moment when adjustments can be made in your region, sign into your account and choose "Purchase history."
Step 5: Allow substitutes for each shopping cart item.
You have the choice to accept substitutes for each item at the time of checkout. We strongly suggest allowing substitutions in. Walmart will replace an item with a comparable one if an item you ordered runs out of stock before your purchase is filled. Right up until the time that the shopper completes your order, you can reject substituted items. Items that are rejected will not be charged to your order.
You will receive email and text message updates from Walmart Grocery.
