Looking for a way to celebrate your child’s success in school?
Some businesses offer freebies to kids with good grades, to celebrate learning and progress - keep reading to find out where your child get a free dessert (or even a full meal!) just by showing off their A’s and B’s.
(Always call ahead first, since many franchises are independently-owned and their participation varies by location)
If you want to treat your child to dessert, take them (and their report card) to Baskin Robbins, Krispy Kreme, Coldstone Creamery, or Wendy’s. By showing the report card, your child can get free ice cream at Baskin Robbins and Coldstone Creamery. At Wendy’s, they’ll receive a free treat. The best of these, though, is Krispy Kreme: your child will get a free donut for every A on their report card at Krispy Kreme (warning: be careful with this one!).
If you’re feeling more like a meal, try Chick-Fil-A, Sbarro, or McDonald’s. Chick-Fil-A offers a free 8-pack chicken nuggets to kids with report cards that boast A’s and B’s. Those A’s and B’s will also get your child a free lunch at Sbarro (pepperoni or cheese slice of pepperoni and a drink) as long as you’re eating there too. And if your child has an especially stellar report card, take them to McDonalds: the restaurant offers a full happy meal to kids with straight As!
Finally, if you have an especially important accomplishment to celebrate, take your child to the Melting Pot. Straight As will earn your child a free kids’ meal with the purchase of an adult meal, and the atmosphere will make them feel on top of the world. It’s a great place if you have older kids, too: high schoolers can also earn a multicourse meal at Melting Pot with good grades.
Next time your kid comes home with a fabulous report card, give them a hug - and then surprise them with a special day out. They’ve earned it!
